    Nothing has changed here. I lived at one of their properties near UCCS for over 2 years w/ a dirt front yard and backyard. The house wasn't kept up that well but it was a good price. Immediately when we moved in we noticed that the house wasn't cleaned that well. Smell and stains still in the fridge, grime in the kitchen and bathroom, trash left in the side and backyard, and more. From there, there were some things I thought that needed to be repaired (missing window screens, cracked windows and gaps allowing dirt to blow in, front door had a crack in it and was not meant to be an exterior door, I wanted the trash picked up). Well I immediately had push back and went to have VIP sign a paper acknowledging the list and was told "You knew how it looked when you did a walk through". So be prepared for that. I did most of the upkeep myself: replaced light switch plates, repaired the windows, tree trimming of a dead tree. So if you don't call them and just deal with it, it is manageable. One of the times I did call to take a look at a power outlet that wasn't working they just put a solid plate over it and said I can't use it because they are... well... cheap. Here is the main problem I had. They lie. Not much more I can say about that. Look over your lease including all fine print. Verbal agreements mean nothing. They will tell you your lease includes a section when it does not. You can do a move out walkthrough, have Todd Adams sign off on your lease saying there was no damage / no issues, and STILL have funds taken off your deposit. When you call to request info, for instance when they charged me to repaint (which after 2+ years may need to be done), they wont give the companies info which is required. To this date I have no idea if the "receipt" was legit but the scumbags need money so bad they will do whatever they can to put your cash in their pocket. I also know that they let the new tenants move in the day I handed over the keys. So no, VIP does no maintenance work between tenants in the instance I witnessed. They are friendly to get you to sign and then you are all on your own. Beware!

  • Qiesha and Cheryl are the VERY best at their jobs. As a consumer, I appreciate their advice and how how they break things down into layman's terms so that it is easy to understand. They make sure that you have the insurance coverage you need to protect your property and look for ways to help you save money. These ladies are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and I plan on sticking with them and AMFAM for a long time!
